E3 Xbox Trailer/News Roundup

Another year another Xbox Press Conference and what a show! Microsoft came out swinging with the official unveiling of Project Scorpio which is now call simply “XBox One X”. The system looked remarkably similar to the XBox One S which I think is both a safe but smart move and it was revealed to be the smallest Xbox ever made. XBox One X is coming to all Xbox One markets starting Nov. 7 and will retail for $499, 449 pounds, 499 euros, CA$599 and AU$649. Phil made sure to let us know that Xbox One games would also work with XBox One X making your existing library even better, with better textures, smoother frame rates and faster load times. Phil Spencer announced that Xbox will…

The hits just keep coming today. DONTNOD and Focus Home Interactive have just released the E3 2017 trailer for the action RPG Vampyr and given it a release date. This is one of those games that I’ve been watching for some time now so to finally see such an awesome trailer has me pretty thrilled about what it’s shaping up to be. Check out the trailer below. In Vampyr, you are Dr. Jonathan Reid, a famous surgeon home from the Great War and recently turned into a vampire against your will. As a doctor, you have taken an oath to save lives and take care of the sick; as a vampire, you are cursed to hunt those you vowed to heal. To survive against deadly foes…

E3 2017 Predictions

It’s that time of year again. E3 is set to kick off Saturday with EA’s Press conference and then there’s a series of others from the big guys like Microsoft and Bethesda Sunday, Sony and Ubisoft Monday we’re in for quite a show this year. I’ve compiled a few predictions I have for what we may see announced in the coming days. EA will likely show off all their sports games and announce a partnership with Sony for Fifa as well as more Esports competitions with BIG BIG money to be had. I also think they just might announce a remaster/re-release of the supremely popular series from Bioware, Knights of the Old Republic and a new IP of some sort from Bioware. While we’re on…

Remember way back before Cliff Blesinzki left Epic Games he was on stage showing off his next title called Fortnite? It’s set to arrive on July 25 to Mac, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at a price with the final F2P version coming sometime in 2018. Yes. You heard that right. Solstice Chronicles: MIA Releases the Best 10 Second Trailer of all Time

Close the competition. The single best 10 second trailer of all time has made it’s way online today from developer Ironward for their upcoming twin stick shooter title, Solstice Chronicles: MIA. I’ve not played any twin stick shooters in a while but I remember playing the hell out of Reloaded on the original Playstation with my buddies and we had a fantastic time. This one looks interesting as this trailer pretty well sums of EXACTLY what you’re likely to say repeatedly. Word of warning, the 10 seconds is rife with NSFW content. Check it out below! Battle for survival against waves of Martian mutants in this tactical twist on twin-stick shooters. Using the skills of your drone companion, make fight-or-flight decisions that drastically alter the…

Rebellion, the award winning indie developer best known for their awesome Sniper Elite game announced Strange Brigade as their next title. Right away they set up the game as being “A rip-roaring 1930s third-person adventure for 1-4 players. Coming soon to PS4, XboxOne & PC!” and the trailer does a fantastic job of setting the 1930s serial story tone. I’m excited to see more from this game in the coming days. Middle-earth: Shadow of War Delayed

Previously set for an August 22 release date, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Monolith Productions have announced the upcoming Middle-earth: Shadow of War has been delayed. The sequel to the critically-acclaimed Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor will now arrive on October 10, 2017. I know. What a freaking drag is that right? For those of us who have been excited to get back to Middle-earth this is terrible news but it’s not as bad as it could be. In just less than 2 weeks from now we’re going to see more at E3 so that will hopefully be enough to quench your thirst until the new release date in October. Could the reason possibly be to launch simultaneously with XBox Scorpio? Here’s what the developer had…

Everspace Review (Xbox One)

Everspace is a new sci-fi space shooter epic from German game developer, Rockfish Games which got its start as a Kickstarter campaign. The game sets players in the shoes of Adam Roslin’s clone(s) who also happens to have a severe case of amnesia. While progressing through the game, you’ll begin to unwrap pieces of your past through flashbacks. Soon after the game’s setting is revealed, the player is throw out to the expanses of space and into a tutorial teaching you about the intricacies of Everspace. Each stage has multiple sectors and paths to reach all leading to dungeon style levels of space. I say dungeon style because there’s no other real way to explain it. Each level is this massive area of space filled…
