Games with assassins are almost as ubiquitous as games involving wars or jumping plumbers, and filmmakers appear to be fans of the killer-for-hire genre as well. This time around, Jason Statham reprises his role as Arthur Bishop in the sequel to the 2011 film. The Mechanic, released in 2011, was a modest box office success – ranking in about $80M in theaters. It showed how Bishop was grooming an apprentice in the business, and starred Donald Sutherland and Ben Foster.
