Christmas Shoppers Guide for the Xbox Gamer in your Life

Welcome back gamers. Christmas is just around the corner and everyone from PixelCereal is pretty jacked up about it. Below we’ve compiled a quick cheat list of things you can get for that XBox gamer in your life.

Xbox Must Haves
Xbox One Gears of War console
If you haven’t yet got an Xbox One, the Gears of War 4 2TB console should be on your list. It’s gorgeous with it’s emblazoned gears logo an claw gashes make it a standout piece of hardware and a major conversation starter.

Gears of War 4

The first from The Coalition out of Vancouver, gears 4 brings us the series back to basics with a new story and a new generation of Gears for the new generation of gaming consoles. A great campaign truly fitting in the Gears Universe with tight gameplay, exciting moments that get your heart pumping and some equally fantastic fragtastic multiplayer every Xbox fan needs this game on their machine.

Dead Rising 4
What can I say? I’m a sucker for a zombie game. Especially when it’s the latest entry in the long running over the top zombie hack and slash Dead Rising. And hey – this game takes place at Christmas. Clearly this game is a wonderful pairing with Die Hard 1 and 2 on Christmas Day.

Rise of the TombRaider
Yea I’m aware that Rise of the Tomb Raider has been out for a year already but it’s one of those games I’ve gone back to multiple times (start to finish 4 times). And hey – if you’re on a budget, this game is only $30 brand new. A steal in my opinion

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Deus Ex Mankind Divided was easily one the of years best titles to come out and a sure contender for game of the year in many circles. Full of action an intriguing storyline and all around great gameplay make this a title that should be on your radar.

Forza Horizon 3
Another game of the year contender with this years Forza Horizon 3. As a mostly non racing guy who tends to forget there’s actually a brake to slow down I do enjoy the series immensely. Horizons 3 was and remains hour and hours of fun

Turtle Beach Elite 800x Headset
I’ve always liked the Turtlebeach brand for gaming headsets. I have the XP500s that I still use almost daily but I am itching for some new gear and the Elite 800x will scratch that itch. 7.1 Surround, wireless, builtin rechargeable battery, magnetic charging stand and customizable audio presets all make this a well worthwhile upgrade.

Budget Xbox gifts $30 and Under

Life is Strange
I haven’t had the chance to play this game yet but by all accounts, it’s a great story driven title. If an engaging story is something that happens to be in your wheelhouse, then this just might be a great option for you. At $8(currently – Regular $19.99) can you honestly go wrong?

Hitman
The latest Hitman game busted out this year in the form of an episodic title. Each “episode” played out like a monthly TV series tasking Agent 47 with new hits and even unique tasks/hits Hitman kept me wanting more. Personally I’m not a huge fan of the episodic nature of the game but now that Season 1 is fully out and available at just $30 jump on it.

EA Access
For just $30 a year – EA Access is an incredible value. Not only do you get special pricing and early access to EA games and demos, you get access to the EA vault. Games like the most recent Mirrors Edge, Battlefield 4/hardline, the Mass Effect series via backwards compatibility, need for Speed and Dragon Age Inquisition there’s something for all gamers of varying ages and tastes.

JackBox Party Pack 1, 2 or 3
The Jackbox party packs are riotous fun. I have all 3 of them and each one gets better and better than the last. Being able to play with your friends in the same room as long as they have a smart phone makes this a must have party game that you won’t regret. At $25 you can thank me for the laughs later.

Plague Inc: Evolved
I love a good horror movie but nothing is scarier at which a disease can spread in real life. Plague inc: Evolved has the gamer control the infectivity rate and mutation of various diseases in a bid to wipe out humanity. It’s fun as hell and when you sit back to think about how easy it is for us to move globally now – you may have nightmares of your own after spending just $15.
